The Jaffery Institute of Professional Studies organised a basic computer and internet course for seniors of the KSI Jamaat of Mombasa. Commencing on 24 October 2009 for men, and 29 October 2009 for ladies, this four session course introduced the seniors to the beginning foundations of computer and internet skills. It was encouraging to see elders over 70 and some over 80 participating in such classes.
The ladies were very interested in acquiring such skills and have requested that the classes be extended.

Based on the success of the course, the institute is planning to run such classes on a regular basis hoping to draw in more interested members of the community.
