In November 2009, Bilal Muslim Mission Moshi Branch celebrated the 4th graduation ceremony of Shia Youth Development Project (SYDP). This project helps African Shias from various parts of East Africa study Shiaism. Students are also trained vocationally in various fields such as Carpentry, Electrician, Plumbing, Electronics, Welding, Mechanics, Computer maintenance and Tourism.
This project helps African Shias gain knowledge and skills to survive and uplift themselves and their families. This year 18 African Shias graduated and by grace of Allah (swt) some of them were employed in Tanzania by our Khoja brothers.
