Africa Youth Network is organising the 5th Student Orientation Program for students proceeding for further Education in September 2008 and January 2009.
This orientation program is aimed at providing students with first hand, tangible information of university life and the demands of university education. Students will learn what they need to know to be successful at university. In addition, it will inform students on the challenges awaiting them in the outside world – including cultural, social, religious and environmental challenges – and giving solutions on how to adjust and adapt to overcome them.
The orientation will be conducted by Dr. Mahmood Datoo from the U.K. Dr. Datoo is a Senior University lecturer at eh South Bank University where he is presently lecturing in Structural Engineering.
He has conducted similar orientation programs for university entrants in Europe, under the banner of Council of European Jamaat for the last 10 years.
The orientation will be held on Saturday 26th July and Sunday 27th July 2008 at the Jaffery Academy in Mombasa. This orientation is free of charge for students from all over East Africa who will be proceeding for further education.
