The Youth Networking Desk of NASIMCO, headed by Mohamedhussein Ladak has developed the Hajj Survival Guide. The purpose of this publication is to encourage the youth to embark on the spiritual and life-altering journey of Hajj.
The 120 page guide covers everything from the right mindset, to a step by step journey of one’s visit to Madina and finally to the Holy city of Mecca. The President of Nasimco, Al-Hajj Hussein Bhai Walji said: “Hajj is an important event in the life of a Muslim and it is very important that we prepare and share information with our communities prior to them leaving for Hajj. This guide is put together by our Youths and especially for Youths. It is our hope that the youth can understand the importance of this journey so that they can be well informed of their expectations, become spiritually uplifted and go back to their communities to help make their local community a more inspired one. Our sincere thanks to the Youths in North America particularly, Br. Mohamedhussein Meghji who has helped to put this together and for the benefit of the youths of our communities."
The World Federation’s Assistant Secretary General for Islamic Education, Sheikh Abbas Ismail commented: "The NASIMCO Youth Networking Desk has produced this Hajj Guide that covers many of the spiritual and practical aspects of Hajj. On our lifelong journey towards our Creator, events like Hajj are fundamentally important and can boost the wayfarer many levels in a matter of days. The key element however is preparation for the event. With a guide such as this one, the Haji will be equipped with a good guide and reference to help him in this task. The NASIMCO YND has done an excellent job - may Allah reward them all and grant all the mu'mineen the chance to experience the spiritual ecstasy that is Hajj."
