At the 67th Supreme Council Session of The Africa Federation held 21 to 23 March 2008, the Central Health Board (CHB) of Africa presented its annual report for the term 2007-2008. The report outlines the distinctive favorable changes taking place in people’s behaviors and attitudes towards health-care in Africa.
CHB Chairman, Aunali Khalfan expressed: “We have made great strides towards developing positive attitudes of our community members in this matter, the majority of whom are now actively conscious about health and consequences of harmful habits like smoking, chewing pariki & sedentary lifestyles. Some have begun to refrain from such harmful habits, and we hope other would emulate them.”
The Central Health Board (CHB) in the last couple of years has undertaken several initiatives to educate and promote health awareness through various mediums, including but not limited to medical screening.
