The Trade Fair was officially opened by the minister of Trade and Industry of the United Republic of Tanzania on 26 December, ending on 28 December 2008.  With the 1st prize, a gift for two people for two nights stay in one of the famous Sultan beach hotel in Zanzibar Island was also presented to Ebrahim Haji by JIBA.

The team of staff and volunteers worked very hard for many days putting in long hours at Ebrahim Haji to plan and prepare for the event.

The judges were impressed by the professional approach of the staff and volunteers who are well trained, courteous and knowledgeable.  The other most important factor is that Ebrahim Haji Health Centre is now reaching out to the people, and promoting healthcare awareness and providing various services to all the people irrespective of their background or religion. The overall setup of the Booth coupled with health checkup and several medical services etc. were amongst the factors considered.
