The Islamic Educational Center of Orange County (IECOC) volunteers provided Saturday & Sunday dinners for the fire relief victims of Southern California. The volunteers spent their weekend giving support to those who have been evacuated from their homes.

The Muslim community of the IECOC held a special prayer which was lead by Imam Sayed Moustafa al-Qazwini for these fire victims. The prayer voices of Muslims called upon Allah (swt) to provide ease and comfort to those who have lost family members, been displaced, and lost their homes in the devastating fires. The Muslim "Prayer of Rain" was recited several times, and by the grace of the Almighty, the prayers were answered as rain fell upon the fire areas in Orange County over the weekend.

The out pour of our community was received with hugs, appreciation, and tears by the victims when our volunteers showed up over the weekend to feed over 200 evacuees with hot dinners and words of support.

IECOC has been working with the local Red Cross in Orange County in providing assistance to the fire victims. IECOC has provided meals at a local relief center in Orange and have offered five homes for families who have been displaced.
