Al Ghadeer Library Project – London, UK

The Islamic Cultural Affairs Committee of the Council of European Jamaats presents the Al Ghadeer Library project: A project which aims to uncover the true message of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) to the general population.

Multiple books are being donated by the Islamic Cultural Affairs Committee to hundreds of libraries and universities across the UK which have agreed to make these books accessible for lending. The books have been carefully selected to give a good balanced theoretical and practical overview to the Shia faith, including:

A translation of the Holy Quran
Nahjul Balagha in English
Discovering Shi’i Islam by Shaikh Shomali
Pearls of Wisdom
Religious Pluralism by Shaheed Mutahhari

There are also many other titles that are being donated.

Of the hundreds of institutions approached many responses have been received and nearly all of them have been positive, with some expressing great interest in creating ties with the Shia community.

Each book set costs just 50 GBP to purchase and send to an institution.
