Confirmed Crescent Sighting - Shabaan 1427 AH

The Hilal Committee has determined 1 of Sha'baan 1427 to be:

Saturday 26 August 2006 for Mu'mineen in all parts of the world except those residing in South and Central America, Caribbean and the Southern Belt of USA.
 
Mu'mineen in South and Central America, Caribbean and the Southern Belt of USA were expected to mark Friday 25 August 2006 as 1 Sha'baan 1427, however, the Hilal Committee has received no news of any sightings from these places. Mu'mineen in these areas are advised to consult their local jamaats for confirmation on the start of the new month.
