Confirmed Crescent Sighting - Ramadhan 1427 AH
After deliberation and collection of information from throughout the world, the Hilal Committee of the Islamic Education Board has determined 1 Ramadhan 1427 to be:
1) For all followers of Marhum Ayatullah Khui (ra):

2) For the followers of Ayatullah Seestani:
a) For Mu'mineen in Sub-Saharan Africa:

The Hilal Committee received reports of sighting in East Africa from Africa Federation. For further information please refer to Africa Federation
b) For Mu'mineen in Europe and Pakistan:
MONDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2006
The Hilal Committee received no reported sightings in Europe and Pakistan. Therefore Sunday 24 September marks 30 Shabaan 1427, and Monday 25 September marks 1 Ramadhan 1427. For further information please refer to Council of European Jamaats, or Karachi Jamaat / Mehfile Murtaza, or your local jamaat.
c) For Mu'mineen in India:
The Hilal Committee has received no news of sightings. For further information please refer to Council of Gujerat or your local jamaat.
d) For Mu'mineen in North America:
Due to a difference in time zones the Hilal Committee has thus far received no news of sightings. For further information please refer to NASIMCO or your local jamaat
