The Hilal Committee of IEB, after scouting for reports of sightings of the new crescent and applying the rulings of Ayatullah Seestani, has learnt that Thursday 10th of February 2005 is the first day of Muharram 1426 AH for Mumineen living in Africa.

It therefore follows that, Friday 11th February 2005 will be 1st Muharram 1426 for Mumineen living in the rest of the world including India, Pakistan and Europe according to the rulings of Ayatullah Seestani.

Mumineen in Canada and the United States of America will have to verify the  sighting and contact their respective Jamaats for confirmation of sighting.
