The auspicious day of 13 Rajab – the day the sun of Imamah and Wilayah rose from the house of Tawheed, completing the Nabuwwah of the Prophets by his Guardianship and forever safeguarding Islam against corruption and deviance; was celebrated by the Qum students’ community with great fervour and enthusiasm.
The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and an Arabic qasida, followed by a lecture in English by Hujjatul Islam Sayyid Mahmood Musavi – Faculty member at the Baqir ul-Uloom university in Qum.

Sayyid Musavi in his insightful lecture spoke about the essence of the Holy House of Allah (swt) as a turning point for identification of the Imam. With narrations of historic events such as the birth of Imam Ali (as) in the Ka’ba and the swearing of Hajr al-Aswad confirming the Imamah of Imam Sajjad (as) to name a few.

In addition, he spoke about the importance of the month of Rajab and that the spiritual breezes that blow in this month are opportunities that are provided by the Almighty (swt) occasionally, thus all are bound to make the most of them.
The lecture was followed by Salaatul Maghribayn and a beautiful recitation of Ziyarat Aminallah. Thereafter Mumineen sat together to break their fast with a delicious Iftar dinner.
