Eid al Hajj 1432:  406 Qurbanis completed

Updated 16 November 2011

For those Mo’mineen who are not able to go for Hajj, sacrificing an animal is highly recommended on the occasion of Eid al Hajj. In this spirit, each year, The World Federation assists individuals from around the world to arrange Qurbanis (sacrifice of a goat) on their behalf.

With the continued support of our regional partners, The Council of European Jamaats and NASIMCO, a total of 406 Qurbanis were ordered through them and through The World Federation worldwide for this year’s Eid Qurbani.

All 406 Qurbanis were arranged with the assistance of our regional partner in Africa, The Africa Federation through Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya and Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania. The Qurbanis were performed on goats in both Kenya and Tanzania.  The meat was then distributed among the needy, including widows, orphans and seniors through Islamic Centres.

On behalf of The World Federation, we take this opportunity to thank our partners, agencies and donors for their continued support of this annual initiative. May Allah (swt) accept each one of our sacrifices and may He grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter.
