Hussaini Foundation is pleased to inform the community that by the Grace of Almighty Allah (S.W.T) and Waseela Chahardah Masoomeen (A.S) the progress of rehabilitation activities in the earthquake affected areas is continuing very smoothly and in extremely satisfactory manner. Alhamdulillah, the image of Hussaini Foundation is growing well and gaining strength day by day.
The credibility established and the achievements made is undoubtly honour to the community. This all indicates the unity of the community to support the humanity in distress which indeed is a very noble cause undertaken by us.
With the community’s continuous support, Hussaini Foundation has been able to establish itself not only as the leading Shia organization in the rehabilitation activities in earthquake affected area but is being considered at par with the most prestigious N.G.Os working in the area. Some of the N.G.Os have even tried to follow the systems/ procedures adopted by HF.
Brief account of the Hussaini Foundation activities after the 8th October 2005 earthquake is as under:-
First stage:
Raised donations locally and from overseas donors amounting to USD 2.5 Million and with this donation purchased, supplied and distributed to the affected families the following:
- 45,000 sheets of G.I. / Tents / Tarpaulin.
- 522,000 Kgs Flour / Sugar / Rice / Pulses / Meat & Vegetables.
- 253,650 Pcs Blankets / Quilts / Jackets / Bed sheets.
- 800 Cartons of various Medicines.
- Established and sustained three Tent Village Camps having 3250 heads.
Second Stage:
- Established 9 Tent Schools.
- Built 49 Temporary Mosques.
- Supplied 27 Sound Systems to Mosques / Imambarghas
- Provided and Supported 36 Mobbaligheen during last Aashura-e-Muharram.
- Built 800 One Room Shelters.
- Built 165 Two Rooms Shelters.
- Supported 1100 Families of Shirazi Sadaat with Corrugated Sheets for their shelters.
- Completed 5 water projects benefiting over 900 families.
- Operated one dispensary that has now been built on permanent basis.
- Provided / support individuals / families for various rehabilitation projects.
Third Stage:
Again with the help of local and overseas donors of the community, we have completed the following projects:
- Material supply of Corrugated and Lasani sheets along with building accessories to 3043 families at the cost of 136.935 Million.
- Water supply projects to three villages at the cost of 0.750 Million.
- Construction of 13 permanent Mosques / Imambarghas.
- Construction of Dar-ul-Mawaddat (Orphanage Home) for 50 Children.
- Supply 25 sound system to mosque / Imambargha
Your foundation – Hussain Foundation has spend nearly USD 5.4 Million in the above three stages. We should all be very thankfull to Almighty Allah (S.W.T) for giving us the benefit to contribute in this noble cause and may Allah (S.W.T) accepts our deeds and action. Ameen.
All the organizations under Hussaini Foundation along with their Patron-in-Chief Hujjat-ul-Islam Wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Mohsin Ali Najfi bow their heads to Almighty Allah (S.W.T) for above mentioned achievements and pray to Him with Waseela Chahardah Masoomeen (A.S) to protect this Ummah from the calamities and shower His blessings for ultimate and real success in this world and the life hereafter; Ameen.
The organization under Hussaini Foundation is now appealing to all our brothers / sisters (local and overseas) to help the foundation undertake the Stage Four of rehabilitation work that will commence from February 2007 comprising:
- Supply and support at least 2000 families with construction material / building accessories at the cost of USD 1.5 Million.
- Construct permanent Mosques / Imambarghas at least in 30 villages at the cost of USD 500,000.
- Undertake Water Supply Projects to 35 villages at the cost of approx. USD 165,000.
- Undertake construction of eight primary schools costing USD 330,000.
- Undertake rehabilitation of widows and orphans costing USD 33,000.
- Undertake any rehabilitation activities with availability of funds.
The community has always stood up to the challenging occasions in the past and, we hope, will again rise to the occasion with extra zeal to help Hussaini Foundation undertake and complete Stage Four rehabilitation activities in the earthquake affected areas.
