Very little has been written about Muhammad ibne Ali (AS) also known as Al-Jawad (The Generous), due to his martyrdom at the young age of 25. This Imam, just as his predecessors, also sought to guide his followers in regards to Al-Mahdi. This is a personality who the Prophet himself called his followers towards and who every Imam guided towards.
In one hadith – a discussion between the well-known Abdul Azim al-Hasani (buried outside of Tehran in the city of Ray), the 9th Imam shared the following knowledge about Al-Qaim: Al-Qaim must be awaited during his occultation and must be obeyed during his appearance; He is the 3rd in my progeny; Even if one day were to remain in the Earth, Allah would stretch that day until al-Qaim would appear; He would fill the Earth with justice and fairness as it has been filled with injustice and oppression; The best deed of our Shi`a is the act of awaiting for the deliverance.”
