BOND Vision, Mission and Values:
Together with the NGOs, BOND is working towards a shared vision of the future, underpinned by a set of values that inspire its work and mission.
BOND’s Vision is “A world without poverty, inequality or injustice in which human rights are upheld and our environment protected.”
BOND's Values include:
- Justice and solidarity
- Diversity and mutual respect
- Collaboration and participation
- Sustainability and shared responsibility
- Transparency and accountability
Dr Ahmed Hassam, The President of The World Federation expressed: 'Joining BOND is beneficial for The World Federation, making us a handful of Muslim organisations within its framework. Those currently members of BOND include Islamic Relief and Muslim Hands, both NGOs using their status to great effect. I pray that we continue on this progress in months and years to come, inshAllah.'
Shan-E-Abbas Hassam, the Assistant Secretary General for Relief & Economic Development explains the advantages of joining BOND: ‘The World Federation’s membership of BOND will allow us to grow and develop into a more effective and dynamic NGO. We will benefit from training, capacity building, networking and the sharing of best practices. The challenge now is to harness this new opportunity to meet the vision of The World Federation, in line with our core values.'
