On 3 September 2010, a suicide bomber struck amidst a Shia procession in Quetta, Pakistan. The procession was a part of nationwide marches to observe Al Quds day - calling for solidarity with Palestinians. The blast has killed at least 53 people and injured over 100 people, several of whom are in critical condition. The blast was followed by further protests as mourners reacted to the explosion.
This attack comes just two days after three suicide bombers struck a Shia procession in Lahore, killing 31 people.
At a time when the country is trying to recover from massive floods where latest reports show that 18.7 million people have been affected, these heinous acts carried out on innocent individuals are all the more brutal.
The World Federation of KSIMC strongly condemns these irrational acts carried out by these groups which kill innocent men, women and children. We express our sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost their loved ones and pray for the quick recovery of those that have been injured.

We pray to Allah (SWT) to alleviate the sufferings of innocent people across the world.
