On 6 May 2010 The World Federation of KSIMC was invited to meet with the Archbishop of Canterbury at the Hussaini Masjid in Northolt, London. The invitation was made available through the presidency of Shaykh Abbas Ismail at the Christian Muslim Forum. Munawer bhai Rattansey, Vice-President of The World Federation and Shaykh Abbas Ismail represented The World Federation.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Dawoodi Bohra Community who explained some of the key teachings of their faith via displays and individual speakers.
As the centre-piece of this event, Dr Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury, addressed the gathering with a message on the importance of peaceful co-existence and learning from one another.
Munawer bhai commented, "This was a very useful event to attend and I thank the Dawoodi Bohra community for their invitation. It was interesting to see how the Bohra community has organised itself into a very active community that has held onto its traditions and culture. The World Federation is seeking to reach out to such communities in an effort to work together where possible."
