The ZCSS Review Team

The World Federation has assigned a team to review the Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme.  The team is comprised of a group of dedicated and hardworking individuals that have solid work experience and a vast array of volunteer experience.  The team includes the following members:

Masum Somji
Appointed as the Assistant Secretary General of ZCSS for the term 2011-2014, Masum Somji is an experienced volunteer of The World Federation having served several terms as Executive Councillor. His recent innovative contributions have been the introduction of Asset Realization of our Community and Capital Projects Paper which has had far reaching support from the Membership putting checks and balances on all new projects by the Members.  In addition, he has served several terms and continues to serve as Secretary General of JIBA International and has been instrumental in rejuvenating it especially in India.  He is ardent supporter of economic upliftment especially through education.

Sajjad Tejani

Sajjad was born in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania where he studied at Al Muntazir Islamic Seminary. Here, he completed his O and A levels and in 1995 he proceeded to the United Kingdom for further studies.  In the UK, he pursued a degree in Accounting and Finance and today, Sajjad is a member of ACCA, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a global body for professional accountants. As well, he is a partner at his firm in London, England.

From 1995 to 2005, Sajjad served his local community by teaching at the Hujjat Madrasah in Stanmore, England.

Sajjad first joined The World Federation in 1996 as a volunteer for Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS) under the leadership of Mohamed Visram, Chairman of ZCSS and Mulla Asgharali M.M. Jaffer, President of The World Federation. In 2006, he was appointed as the Assistant Secretary General for ZCSS.  Sajjad is alos currently serving as the Deputy Treasurer for the term 2011-2014.

Abbas Kanji
Although born in Dar-es-Salaam in 1976, Abbas Kanji has lived in the United States since 1977 and currently resides in Chicago. Abbas has studied in economics and finance and his work experience has been in corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions and real estate. In terms of community work, Abbas has been a madressa teacher for over 10 years and has worked with The World Federation and assisted in developing the strategic plan in 2003.
  
 
Mustafa Kassam
Mustafa was born in Dar Es Salaam and spent some of his early years there.  He then moved on for a couple of years to Pakistan, Dubai and Canada and returned to Dubai where he has lived for many years.   Mustafa has worked his way up against all odds to become an entrepreneur, associated mainly with the Safety Industry (Personal Protective Equipment).

The unquenched thirst for knowledge and education led Mustafa to make two strong commitments in life – one was to provide the best available education to his own children and the next was to try his level best to rehabilitate the underprivileged children through quality education.

Due to Grace of Allah and blessings of his parents all four children have graduated and are pursuing professional careers. Towards his second commitment God has been kind enough to give Mustafa opportunities and resources to support education of the underprivileged through various platforms.

Imtiaz Contractor
Imtiaz was born in 1960 and currently resides in Dubai.  He completed his studies in Ahmedabad and is currently pursuing his MBA online. He has extensive work experience in directing, management, and consulting.  

Imtiaz is currently involved in the planning and building of a hospital, Hawzaa and school for orphans in Al Najaf.
