Registration on arrival
On arrival in Toronto, Delegates, Councillors and Invitees are requested to register as early as possible and collect their identity badges (Note: Observers do not need to register and do not need identity badges). Registration may be done at the Thursday 22 October 2009 night majlis or on the morning of Friday 23 October prior to Session 1 of the Conference.

Transport to the Conference Venue
For those staying at at Holiday Inn Express & Suites – located at Highway 7 & Leslie, special buses will run between the hotel and the conference venue in the morning and in the evening. Those who miss the bus will have to make their own arrangements to the Conference venue. In addition, for those who are making their own accommodation arrangements, please arrange your own transport to the Conference Venue.

Conference Venue and Time
The Conference will be held at:
The Conference will take place at Jaffari Community Centre, 9000 Bathurst Street, Thornhill, Ontario, L4J 8A7, Canada.

There will be a majlis on Thursday night, 22 October 2009 at the above venue.

The conference will start on Friday at 9.00am 23 October 2009.

Smoking
Kindly observe the smoking regulations in and around the conference venues. Smoking is not allowed at all times inside any of the Jaffari Community Centre.

Literature for distribution
Literature brought by Jamaats will be launched and distributed in a controlled manner – a few per session. Please hand over all such literature to the World Federation Staff or Host Jamaat Reception Committee.

Dress Code
All are reminded that the World Federation expects all attendees to be suitably attired in keeping with the decorum, spirit and the practice of Sharia. This is a meeting of the leadership of the Community and hence the importance of setting standards and examples for the Community at large.

The dress code for women throughout the Conference should be correct hijab, the minimum being a loose full length outer garment [abaya] and a scarf. The ladies welcoming committee will be more than happy to assist and advise on the do’s and don'ts on the matter.

The dress code for men is sombre clothing with no sleeveless clothes and no shorts.

Certain corridors, stairs, lifts at the venues will be reserved entirely for women. Men are requested to respect the requirement of privacy by the women.

Namaz & Meals
Namaz will be prayed with Jamaat and meals will be served at the same venue.
