On 20th and 21st March 2008, the Board Members of Imam Zamana Mission (IZM) visited the Avalkonda School to participate in their annual Day Programme. The programme was also attended by various officers from the Government Education Department, including Dr. Jaleel Ahmed, District Educational Officer (DEO) of Chittor District, who was the Chief Guest. Br Gulamraza Sheriff represented The World Federation at this programme, which was presided by Janab Salim Peerbhoy, President of IZM

The students participated in cultural programmes, speeches, skits and sports with lots of enthusiasm, bringing their hidden talents to the fore.

The Head Master in his report stated the enrolment of the academic year 2007-2008 is 475, with 325 receiving sponsorship. He mentioned that 39 of the 43 students passed in their final exams this year.  The Head Master also emphasised the need to have more trained teachers.
 
The District Educational Officer (DEO) praised the high quality of education provided at the school, offering maximum support towards its development. He expressed his appreciation to The World Federation for sponsoring the education of these students. 

Prizes and awards were given to students for excellence in the field of sports and academics. The teachers were given cash incentives for achieving 100% results in their respective subjects.
 
Throughout the year, the students have been participating in various sports activities held in the zonal region and have won trophies in both junior and senior levels of Kho-Kho.

The students are making good use of the available science laboratory by making informative Science Exhibits and participating in science exhibitions.

The staff and students are very thankful to The World Federation for taking so much of interest  in the welfare of the students.
