Through Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS), The World Federation is committed to a relief of poverty programme through education. Our 25 agencies ensure that every Shia Ithna-Asheri child in their region gets adequate education. They locate the children, motivate them and assist them to go to school. 50,000 children have so far been assisted to go through the schools.
The World Federation has now embarked on a four point programme of excellence in education.
1) Improving the quality of education in our community schools through a Teachers Training Programme.
Zainab Kanji of London visited Gujarat in August 2006. She conducted Teachers Training in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Mahuva and Talaja. You may read her full report here.

2) Improving quality of Education for ZCSS sponsored children who do not go to our community schools. They need to be helped and supported in every way possible so that they get the best possible education.
3) Religious education for ZCSS sponsored children and other community children as well. Efforts are being increased to make sure they get the best possible religious education to equip them with the tools for the protection and advancement of their faith.
4) Higher Education Students. Efforts are being expanded to make sure that most of our students go for higher education and that too, in diverse fields. We also need to make sure they are assisted in their religious education and development.
