During last Muharram, the Zainabiya Child Sponsorship Scheme of the World Federation launched an appeal to raise sponsorship and awareness of its continuing work to eradicate illiteracy amongst our community in the poorest countries around the world.  During this campaign, leaflets were distributed throughout jamats worldwide and there was a real drive to achieve a target of recruiting 400 new sponsors. By the grace of Allah (SWT), sponsorship donations came pouring in to help these children unlock their potential. 210 sponsors have come forward under this appeal. We pray to Allah (SWT) to accept their Duas and Amals, and grant them a place in heaven for their act of charity.

Even to this day pledges are still forthcoming. Currently ZCSS sponsors approximately 11,000 children on an annual basis. The work however is ever expanding, looking to even bigger and more ambitious projects, so there is still need for sponsors to come forward so that we may achieve our target of 400 and help create a brighter future for those less fortunate Muslims around the world.
