The Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS) aims to give the children of Govandi Mumbai, India a solid foundation and successful start in life.  The Al Safeena Education Welfare Trust caters to 331 children in Nursery, Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and Upper Kindergarten.  The goal also includes educating the parents as well. 

The teachers of this school work with parents by going out into the community and discussing areas such as family planning, nutrition, and health.  They also receive guidance on how to further assist their children in their development.  The children also receive regular health checks. 

The students have a structured timetable with play in the activity room.  The school records are excellent and show that since its inception in 1991, several students have received the foundation to pursue higher education courses. 

Sponsorship for a child is £10/month, or £120/annum.  Your sponsorship will help a child along the path of a good education and health.
