The Zainabiya Composite Pre-University College arose due to a need to educate the poor of a small village in the Indian District of Karnataka, called Alipur. Populated mostly by Shia Ithna Asheri's, this town has evolved around the school that was created by a vision of the late Mulla Asghar MM Jaffer.
The school is designed to teach girls mainly, and a few boys of the lower age groups so that in a society where educating girls was against the norm, the World Federation stepped in to uproot this practice, and inculcate the teachings of Islam.
Hence, in 1992 through the Imamia Education & Welfare Trust, the ZCSS prepared the ground floor of the school. From its humble beginnings, the school has been through some tough times, but by the help of The Almighty, today the school is a pride of its land. It has Government recognition as well as having been awarded the Best School & College in Karnataka.
The school boasts a total number of 550 students and an infrastructure second to none, with a total of three floors and equipped with classrooms, laboratories, library and a vast playground.
School results are very high with 100% of the students passing and many scoring above average results.
