Syria Conflict: The World Federation condemns latest attacks against Shia Muslims and calls on all Jamaats to hold special Amaals during the Holy Month of Shabaan
Amid the ongoing conflict in Syria, sectarian tension has escalated to the point where Shias, Sunnis and the Alawites are being slaughtered senselessly. In the Syrian town of Hatlah, The World Federation has received confirmed reports that Shia Muslim citizens here have been threatened with revenge where a Husayniah was set on fire and innocent lives were lost. This most recent attack came after the take-over of the city of Qusayr by anti-rebel forces who defeated the rebels. The World Federation is calling on all peoples of Syria and beyond to end these acts of violence and division and work towards creating harmony, unity, brotherhood and dialogue.
