Introduction

Alhamdulillah, The World Federation’s External Tableegh Department has the fantastic opportunity of financing the academic and religious education of Bilal students (both Boys and Girls) at the Centre Rassoul Akram in Madagascar. Five senior students from CRA were sent to Najaf al-Ashraf to continue their religious studies at the Holy Proximity of Mawla Ameer al-Mu’mineen (a).

The Centre Rassoul Akram is based in Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar and has currently around 80 students enrolled in their Hawza Program from various parts of the country. The Hawza Program is a Certified Program under Hawza Al Mustafa for Boys and under Hawza Al Zaynabia for Girls.

A Brief Summary of the Course Program

In the year 2021, there were 3 batches of girls and 2 batches of boys.

The curriculum of the Hawza includes subjects like Qur’an, Fiqh, Aqaed, Sirat, Akhlaq, Arabic, Matrimonial Life (for the girls) and academic subjects like English, French, Accounting, Economics and Mathematics, with special sports time also allocated during the week. The subjects are taught to the students based on their level (1st or 2nd Year) according to the objectives of the Hawza and the participants intellectual capacity following the pre-planned syllabus.

As soon as the Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, the CRA Center was able to organise outdoor activities such as Sports Competition and Reforestation to rejuvenate the students.

The Center has also sent 5 of its best senior students to Najaf Al-Ashraf to pursue further higher religious studies.

A felicitation program for the students was held at the end of the year, to mark the completion and promotion of 1st year studies and to award the students with certificates.

Prayers

We pray to Allah (swt) to reward all our generous donors in abundance for their support and to grant success to these young individuals in their future endeavours, Ameen.
