The course runs from 22nd July - 11th August 2018 in Iran and the deadline for this year's trip is fast approaching. If you want your child to experience a trip of a lifetime, you must apply by Monday 30th April 2018.

Course Overview

Dates:  Sunday 22nd July 2018 until Saturday 11th August 2018 -  Applicants must arrive in Iran no later than 21st July 2018.

There are two courses, with 4 separate camps :

  • The Madinah al-Ilm course is for boys and girls (separate camps) between the ages of 18 and 24 years old
  • The Bab al-Ilm course is for boys and girls (separate camps) between the ages of 14 and 17 years old.

The course name derives from a hadith from the Prophet: "I am the city (Madinah) of knowledge and Ali is it's gate (Bab)". The older students attend a Madinatul Ilm course (City of Knowledge) and the younger ones attend Babul Ilm course (Gate of knowledge). The trip name is shortened to Madinah and Bab in honour of this quote.

Although both courses will run on the same dates, there may be slight variations for each region based on regional flight itineraries.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit the cities of Qum, Mashhad, Tehran and tourist spots.

Celebrated Iranian Shia scholar Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Baqer Musavi Shirazi (1931-2014) has passed away at the age of 83 in a hospital in Imam Reza (A.S) Hospital in Tehran on Tuesday (13th May).

This was not a regular Jum’ah for many of us as our day began with Namaaz-e-Shaab and Fajr Jamaat in our Jamia Masjid. The majority of girls shortly dispersed back into their rooms, the handful that remained took the initiative of dedicating the final precious moments of the night to our Master, Imam Mahdi (ajts) with a truly heartfelt, passionate recitation of Dua A'hd and Ziyarat for Imam Mahdi (ajts) by one of our inspirational mentors.
