In 2027, The World Federation of KSIMC will explore Adalah, or justice, as a guiding principle that connects spiritual devotion with social action.

The Year of Adalah invites us to consider justice not only as a principle of society, but as something that begins within ourselves and extends to the wellbeing and dignity of others.
At its heart is a commitment to stand firmly for justice and to translate our values into meaningful action.

This verse provides the foundation for the Year of Adalah and its emphasis on justice as both a spiritual responsibility and a social commitment.

The World Federation’s commitment to Adalah in 2027 is centred around three dimensions of justice:

Economic Justice

Alleviating poverty and addressing inequality
Economic justice means supporting those facing poverty and inequity through transparent, needs-based programmes.

This includes the redistribution of Zakat, Khums and Sadaqah, with a focus on addressing needs such as hunger, housing and healthcare.

Epistemic Justice

Empowering through education
Access to knowledge and education is central to addressing illiteracy and ignorance as forms of oppression.

The commitment is to ensure access to quality Islamic and secular education, regardless of gender, geography or ability.

Dignity Justice

Supporting the wellbeing of the soul
Justice also encompasses dignity, spiritual wellbeing and the needs of the individual.

This includes providing spiritual support, trauma-informed counselling, bereavement care and mental health services, recognising that a wounded soul deserves the same urgency as an empty stomach.
