The World Federation of KSIMC, in collaboration with India Federation proudly hosted the 11th Annual Islamic Youth Camp from 20th to 28th December 2025 at the Seth Moloobhoy Khoja Sanatorium in the picturesque hill station of Khandala.
Over the years, this camp has earned a strong reputation for equipping young participants with essential life skills while nurturing their spiritual growth within a supportive and engaging environment. Its continued success is reflected in the enthusiasm with which youth across the community anticipate it each year.
This year, the camp welcomed 63 participants from 6 prominent cities across India: Mumbai, Pune, Sangli, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, and Ahmedabad. The camp catered to boys aged 12–16 and girls aged 10–14, creating a diverse and vibrant group of young learners.
The camp was supported by a dedicated team of 5 administrators, 2 resident Aalims, and 18 trained mentors. Together, they facilitated engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences, carefully tailored to address the realities and challenges faced by youth today.
The Daily Program and Activities
Each day began with Fajr Salah in Jamaat and concluded with meaningful bonding sessions between mentors and mentees. The thoughtfully structured timetable ensured a healthy balance between spiritual enrichment, intellectual development, and recreation.
Participants attended interactive classes daily, comprising Qur’anic sessions, Thematic interactive workshops and evening sports and games – all designed to create a balance of learning and enjoyment.
All sessions were designed to be dynamic and participatory, with activities aligned to the themes discussed. Special activities included “Know Your Infallibles,” highlighting the lives of four Aimmah (as), and “Learning Surah Names,” where participants memorised all 114 Surahs names through engaging activities.
The topics for the interactive classes were as follows:
Spiritual Enrichment
Participants were accompanied throughout the camp by spiritual guides who ensured that their spiritual growth remained aligned with their physical and mental development. Short reflective sessions were conducted before and after Salah, offering practical insights into Islamic practices and providing space for open questions.
Campers actively participated in the recitation of Dua al-Kumail, Dua al-Ahad, and Ziyarat Ashura, fostering a spiritually uplifting atmosphere and strengthening their connection to faith.
Recreation and Bonding
With December bringing pleasant winter evenings to Khandala, bonfire sessions were organised where campers enjoyed games alongside short, impactful reminders from mentors. These moments further reinforced key life lessons in a relaxed and reflective setting.
Evenings were dedicated to sports, games, and refreshments. Activities included football, cricket, Islamic charades, quizzes, live Snakes and Ladders, Pictionary, and more. As always, the much-anticipated Treasure Hunt remained the highlight of the camp, promoting teamwork, strategic thinking, and camaraderie. A central objective across all activities was to foster collaboration, mutual respect, and strong bonds among participants.
