World Federation President Attends NASIMCO Annual Conference in Orlando
The President of The World Federation, Alhaj Safder Jaffer, attended the NASIMCO Annual Conference 2026 on 6 and 7 June 2026, held at the Husseini Islamic Centre in Orlando, Florida. The conference brought together delegates and community leaders from across its member organisations for portfolio reviews, leadership discussions, and planning for the year ahead.
The President addressed delegates at the conference, affirming The World Federation’s commitment to its regional federations and to a coordinated approach to community development. His address reflected the WF’s solid support for NASIMCO’s recent initiatives led by President Alhaj Abbas Bandali, who he commended for having the farsightedness to transform NASIMCO in meeting the aspirations of its members while also contributing to the global community.
One of the most welcome developments at this year’s conference was the appointment of Brother Sadiq Datoo as NASIMCO’s Portfolio Lead for World Federation Initiatives. In this dedicated role, Brother Sadiq Datoo will focus on advancing WF programmes and initiatives within the North American region, ensuring that the work of the global federation is actively supported at the regional level. This represents a meaningful step in deepening the working relationship between NASIMCO and The World Federation, and was received very positively as an encouraging development.
Vice Presidents Alhaj Mohsin Kassam and Mohamed Hassanbhai Alidina each presented portfolio updates, offering a clear and comprehensive picture of NASIMCO’s institutional progress and future direction, including how NASIMCO is collaborating actively with the OneID team at WF.
Alhaj Mohamed Hassan Alidina also led dedicated sessions on NASIMCO’s marketing strategy and the development of a community CRM system, reflecting a forward-looking approach to communications, outreach, and member engagement across the region.
The President also visited the Husseini Islamic Center of Florida’s Project Orange development, gaining first-hand insight into its vision, facilities, and plans for the future, and was highly impressed by its multi-purpose facilities. The visit offered an opportunity to appreciate the scale of investment and ambition that the North American Khoja community is directing towards building lasting institutional infrastructure for generations to come.
The President mentioned in his speech after visiting the centre:
“What impressed me most were the purpose-built classrooms for the SHINE school and madrasah, complemented by the high-quality gymnasium facilities alongside the excellent religious facilities, which together demonstrate a holistic vision of nurturing a community.”
Alhaj Safder Jaffer visited the Husseini Islamic Center of Florida’s Project Orange development during the NASIMCO Conference in Orlando, learning more about its vision, facilities and future plans.
During the conference, the President engaged with a number of distinguished community leaders, strengthening relationships and exchanging perspectives on shared priorities and future opportunities for collaboration.
Alhaj Safder Jaffer met with Alhaj Abbas Bandali, Dr Asghar Moledina, Alhaj Kazimbhai Mehdi and Alhaj Jamilbhai Rizvi during the NASIMCO Annual Conference.
The World Federation extends its sincere gratitude to NASIMCO’s leadership, Office Bearers, and the HIC (Orlando Jamat) teams for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended throughout the visit. The spirit of collaboration and institutional commitment on display at this year’s conference was truly encouraging, and the appointment of a dedicated Portfolio Lead for World Federation Initiatives within NASIMCO is a concrete step forward that both organisations look forward to building upon.
