WF President’s statement on CoEJ elections

Salamun Alaykum

The seeds planted by our elders to organise and unite the community have now grown into institutions that work towards the same lofty objectives. As community volunteers and servants, it is our responsibility to strengthen our community institutions in order to empower, educate, unite and enlighten the members. At The World Federation we are committed to supporting all our Regional Federations in their service towards their constituent jamaats and grassroots and at the same time ensure the governance structure and democracy that we enjoy is protected.

The World Federation does not get involved in regional or jamaat elections and it is the membership that elects its leaders. On the occasion of the CoEJ elections, we appreciate and pray for all candidates who come forward to serve the faith and community.

I hope and pray that InshaAllah the respective campaigns are carried out in a positive atmosphere and in line with the teachings from the Holy Qur’an:

May Allah guide us all in this journey and reward our volunteers for their services.With salaams & duas
