Statement on the prevailing situation in the Middle East

The World Federation echoes the global condemnation of the escalation of the conflict that is evolving and rapidly accelerating in the Middle East. We see first hand the tremendous anguish that this has caused and the deep, unreserved concerns of our global community at the unfolding situation throughout the region.

As an umbrella body with affiliated communities within the region, we see first hand the direct impact and tremendous fear, anguish & loss of lives that this escalation has resulted in.

We are in constant touch with the Office of our Marja, His Eminence Sayyid Sistani (DA) for any further guidance that may be required. The World Federation is also in close and constant touch with the leadership of the Khoja communities in the Region, our students in the seminaries and community members that reside there.

Momineen are encouraged to pray during this Holy Month for the safety and well-being of our Maraje, Ulema, Seminary Students as well as Zuwaar and Momineen and everyone that resides in the region.

We appeal to the global community to engage in special duas for three consecutive days. The Ahlulbayt (a) have given us a treasure of supplications, such as Istighatha, Ziarat Ashura, Dua Tawassul among others. Let us collectively pray to Allah (SWT) in these nights of Ramadhan for an immediate end to this conflict, for peace to be spread throughout the globe and for hastening the dhuhoor of our Imam (aj).
