WF President Meets His Eminence Syed Ali Huseini Al Sistani (DA)

On 31st Dec 2025 (eve of the wiladat of Imam Jawad as), the President of the The World Federation met his Eminence Syed Ali Huseini Al Sistani in Najaf -al-Ashraf.

His Eminence commenced by congratulating the President for plans to establish a project within the Najaf Seminary facilitated through the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (A). This initiative would permanently seal the bond between the Khoja Community and the Seminary in Najaf (details of this important milestone would be provided at the forthcoming exco in Dar-es-Salam 30th Jan-1st Feb 2026).

Syed Sistani (DA) requested the President to convey his special salams to all the community members and enjoined all to exercise Piety (Taqwa), always strive in seeking knowledge, practice what is learnt and continue to do good deeds (Amal-us- Swaleh)

His Eminence brought to the attention of the President that he is fully aware of the difficulties and challenges facing the community in London (the Hujjat Harefield Project) and is praying hard for the matters to be resolved successfully and to make matters easier for the community to achieve its objectives.

He highly commended the community for its well-organized structures and for maintaining its strong sense of unity and bonding despite efforts by others over the years in creating divisions. He reminded the President of the how others in the past have tried to distract the community from the path of the Ahlul Bayt (A) but that the community remained firm in its beliefs. He quoted a recent example of a scholar whose work had initially led to fragmentation within the community but later this scholar regretted his earlier actions and then left this temporal world and how the unity of the community has been maintained by preserving its beliefs and values as taught to us by the Aimma (A).

His Eminence mentioned that when he discusses matters with other communities within the wider Shia organizations, he quotes examples of the how well the Khoja community is organized and to learn through the experiences of each other in better serving the Ummah.

His Eminence provided motivational words for the work being carried out at the secretariat of the World Federation and prayed for the increasing tawfeeqat of the President and the entire team to continue in serving the Ummah.

The President Alhaj Safder Jaffer mentioned to His Eminence that he was a symbol of unity, love and compassion and that the entire Shia community is united due to his presence and guidance, in particular how indebted the KSIM Communities are for his continues guidance and advise he has provided our community particularly at sensitive times. He enquired about the health of His Eminence (Alhamdulillah who is keeping well) and prayed for his long, safe and healthy life so that the Ummah can perpetually benefit from the representative of our living Imam (AJ).

His Eminence repeated his duas for the community and all those who serve the community.

The meeting was held in the presence of His Eminence Syed Mohamed Ridha Sistani who also later met with the President separately for further consultations and guidance on a range of religious and administrative matters.
