Terrorist Attack during Friday Prayers

The World Federation of KSIMC has received with extreme sorrow and pain the news of a brutal terrorist attack during Friday prayers in the Tarlai Kalan area of Islamabad on 6th February 2026. According to the latest reports, nearly 200 worshippers were martyred and injured, with some in serious condition.

The World Federation strongly condemns this heartbreaking incident in which worshippers engaged in prayers in the House of Allah (SWT) on a Friday were targeted. We also express our deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and pray to Allah (SWT) for the swift recovery of all those who were injured.

The President of the World Federation has been in touch with Sheikh Anwar Najafi, the representative of His Eminence Syed Ali Huseini Al-Sistani (DA) in Islamabad, and expressed the global KSIMC community’s deepest sympathies. The President also conveyed to Sheikh Anwar WF Aid’s fullest support for any humanitarian assistance that may be required at this difficult hour of need.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the martyrs, the injured, and all those affected by this tragedy.
